Post-War 4 liter / PW

1946 - 1951

production number: 18

Jensen’s first PW design was known as the “Jensen 4 litre” or PW. Hand-built by the craftsmen who built the great Jensens (S and H-Type) of the pre-war era, the PW was normally only made as a 4-door saloon, although two 4-door convertibles were also built. There were two versions of the PW: the regular and a “streamline” version.

VMs used different types of engines. Initially the plan was to use a completely new Meadows 8 cylinder in line. Due to circumstances, they switched to other engines. Finally, all MPVs already delivered were recalled and fitted with a 4-litre Austin 6-cylinder in-line.

Of the eighteen MPs made, six are still alive, including a magnificent 1950 4-door convertible.
