Jensen C-V8
1962 - 1966
production number: 508
The Jensen C-V8, the last model still fully designed and produced under the supervision of the Jensen brothers. The Jensen C-V8 was a four-seat coupe with a fiberglass body and the first Jensen to have both the Chrysler V8 ‘big block’ engine (305 hp, then 330 hp) and the TorqueFlite 727 automatic transmission as standard.
The car was the fastest four-seater sedan of its time (1962/1963), with a top speed of over 136 mph or 220 kph. The media wrote: ” the best car in the world cleverly disguised as the ugliest…”
Among the C-V8s produced, we find 8 left-hand drive, some with a manual gearbox, one Sedanca and one convertible.
